The Piscina di Venere is an enchanting marine corner, a jewel hidden among the crystalline coasts of Sicily. We access this glimpse of paradise through a panoramic path that leads us to a small lake surrounded by rocks, embraced by the coastal sea. This is where the magic happens, in a unique setting that gives us a breathtaking view of the Aeolian Islands, with Vulcano as the protagonist. This extraordinary place is known as the Pool of Venus, and also as the Pond of Venus, in honor of the goddess of love.

Legend has it that a nymph, compared to Venus herself, used to dive into this lake at sunset. One day, a boy discovered her by chance and was immediately attracted by her extraordinary beauty. He therefore decided to hide behind a rock and observe it every day, enraptured by its charm.

As time passed, the nymph realized she was being watched and discovered the young man behind a boulder. She approached him and from that moment on they began to spend every moment together. A pure and sincere love was born between them, and from that moment on they were never separated again.

The Pool of Venus is thus not only a place of extraordinary natural beauty, but also a symbol of eternal love and legend. A corner of paradise where the majesty of the sea mixes with the magic of love.

However, the nymph was the daughter of the sea god, who was overcome by uncontrollable jealousy towards his own daughter. One day, realizing that every day, at the same time, the nymph was moving away from her family, he decided to follow her. When he saw them together, he lashed out in fury at the boy and turned him into a rock. From that moment, that rock bore the young man's face carved on it, always turned towards the waters. Every evening at sunset, the woman he fell in love with dived into the pool to be observed by her petrified companion.
